A large area of showers and thunderstorms will continue to migrate south to southwest over north Central...Northeast and east central New Mexico for the rest of the evening. At 10 PM...the stronger storms extended from the cochiti area to Santa Fe... Golondrinas...Wagon Mound...Abbott...Farley...and Des Moines to the Colorado border. Before midnight...expect the Interstate 25 corridor from the Bernalillo area to Wagon Mound to be impacted by occasional heavy rains. The area of precipitation may build southward into the Albuquerque Metro area as well as southern Santa Fe and Torrance counties later tonight. Be alert for rapid rises of water in normally dry arroyos and streambeds as well as over low water crossings. Do not drive into areas where water covers the roadway.
