Showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to slowly weaken over portions of east central and southeast New Mexico for the rest of the evening. Before midnight...most of the remaining activity will be concentrated over northern and central Chaves County north of highways 70 and 380...as well as between Clovis and Portales. Movement of the activity will be into eastern Lincoln County...mainly east of a Hondo to Arabella line. Be alert for rapid rises of water in normally dry arroyos and streambeds as well as over low water crossings. Do not drive into areas where water covers the roadway.
