The freeze warning is now in effect from 8 PM this evening to
12 PM EST Wednesday.
Temperatures are expected to fall into the mid to upper 20s
across New York City and Hudson County in New Jersey tonight.
This will result in a hard killing freeze and effectively end the
2008 growing season.
A freeze warning means below freezing temperatures are imminent
or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.
Tonight: Partly cloudy...then clearing. Brisk with lows in the mid 20s. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
Wednesday: Sunny and breezy. Highs in the upper 30s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
